If Bosh ended up in Miami, I don't know how Lebron could pass up on that, Paul or not. Bosh + Wade + Lebron = as many championships as they want.
With free agency looming on Thursday, I figured I would pass along this nugget of information I got this past week
A couple weeks ago I made a post about deciding on taking a job at 3 schools and asked you guys to help choose which might be the best option...
Well option #1 was the University of Akron...option #2 was VCU...and option #3 was Carson-Newman
I have decided to accept a position on the basketball staff at the University of Akron and will start in August...the head coach at Akron is Keith Dambrot, who was LeBron's high school coach up until his Junior year at St.Vincent/St. Mary's and is still very close with LeBron...which is very noticable within the program...Akron is sponsored by LeBron...there are large LeBron symbols around the gym and locker room, there is a huge poster of LeBron on the wall inside the gym as if they were retiring his jersey when he didn't even play there...LeBron holds a camp at the University of Akron for elite college players...as a matter of fact, the infamous "posterizing" of LeBron by Jordan Crawford took place in Akron's gym
Anyway, Coach Dambrot is very close to LeBron and LeBron is very close to the program...I worked a camp at Akron this past week and stayed with an assistant coach in his home...while watching ESPN about LeBron (and William Wesley no-less...I'm looking at you John Calipari) I naturally asked this assistant where he thought LeBron would end up...
His response...
"The only way he leaves Cleveland is if the Cavs don't make any moves to grab higher profile players...he wants to be in Cleveland for his career...his family is here, he is deeply rooted in the community and he won't get the kind of support anywhere else that he gets from Akron/Cleveland"
He went on to say
"They are making a move right now to trade Mo Williams and maybe one other and some draft picks to New Orleans in exchange for Chris Paul"
If Cleveland lands Chris Paul which this coach thought was very likely, he said LeBron would sign quickly
He also said if he does leave he believes he will sign with Cleveland for a sign-and-trade with another team so Cleveland isn't left empty-handed, much like what Chris Bosh is going to do
So there ya go...take that FWIW, it should be an interesting off-season regardless
My predictions:
LeBron - Cavs
D Wade - Heat
Bosh - Bulls
Joe Johnson - Knicks
Amare Stoudamire - Heat
Boozer - Jazz
Dirk Nowitski - Mavs

Just read that Pierce is opting out too, interesting.
You NBA guys, are these players not colluding? Seems to me that these big name free agents are colluding together, but maybe my poker eyes are causing me to be blinded. Congrats on the job gcdevil, hopefully it's the start of a great career that allows you to become Gary Williams' prodige.![]()

D wade will end up with LeBron in Miami Or chicago thats a awesome duo you talking about a NBA Championship them two togather will fufill the dream for Miami or Chicago.
Haha as much as I loathe both schools, I would not turn down a position on staff of either one...both city environments with athletic departments that pay good money to their respective programs...I plan on spending 2-3 years at Akron, and if I'm not a DBO by then I'll try tp move to an asst. position in another conference
My goal is head coach in 8 years, or high major asst. In 8 years...so we'll see how it goes...appreciate the congratulations
